Our grooming team is highly skilled in a wide range of breed-specific styles, including popular cuts for Bichons, Poodles, and Schnauzers. Additionally, our stylists are trained in trendy styles like the ‘puppy cut’ and the ‘teddy bear trim’—a custom hand-scissored cut that can be tailored to your preferred length and your pet’s lifestyle. With extensive experience and a deep understanding of grooming, we are dedicated to highlighting each pet’s unique features and ensuring they look their absolute best. This is our passion!

Doodles are among the most popular breeds we see at Ruff & Tumble, with a variety of types including Labradoodles, Goldendoodles, Bernedoodles, Sheepadoodles, and Aussiedoodles. Each of these poodle-crossed breeds has unique coat types and textures, which can vary greatly. To keep their coats healthy and prevent issues like matting or spot shaving, regular grooming every 4 to 6 weeks is essential.
If you prefer your Doodle to have a long, fluffy coat, it’s important to remember that the longer the coat, the more upkeep it requires. Regular brushing and combing at home can help extend the time between grooming appointments. However, improper at-home maintenance or waiting too long between visits can lead to severe matting, which may require the groomer to shave the coat down to start fresh.
Frequent at-home bathing without thorough brushing and combing can also contribute to matting. In such cases, groomers may have no option but to use clippers to remove the mats, resulting in a very short look. If shaving is necessary, with your permission, we can work with you as the coat regrows to establish a manageable length that suits both your dog’s lifestyle and your grooming preferences. This will help prevent the need for future shaves.

PLEASE NOTE- Ruff & Tumble does have an age limit policy. This includes small dogs over the age of 13, medium/large dogs over the age of 12, and extra large breeds over the age of 10. This is for the health and safety of your pet, for more information on this policy please visit our FAQ page.
We understand situations arise when you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. To do so, we request you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer your appointment slot to another client on our waiting list.
In the event you need to cancel inside 24 hours, a 50% deposit will be taken and applied to your dogs grooming service on the day of your rescheduled appointment.
